Within the framework of the project “Strengthening access to protection, participation and services for women refugees, and host communities” funded by the European Union EU Regional Trust Fund ” #Madad” and the EU Neighborhood & Enlargement, with the support of #Euromed_Feminist_Initiative (EFI) and in partnership with Care, Legal Action and RDFL, the Lebanese Developers NGO implemented 4 Financial management, Food security, Gender Based Violence and Legal rights training workshops for 60 Dom women in the “101” Dom camp in Hosnieh-Akkar.
Trained women received also dignity kits and stipend for participation.
All material gave women more self-confidence and made them feel more empowered.
The main objective of the proposed interventions is to contribute to the self-reliance and resilience of Dom women in the Akkar Governorate, keeping them away from negative coping strategies.
